Title Green Grape
Biography Takamura Kotaro (1883-1956) was a sculptor and poet born in Tokyo. Son of a sculptor Takamura Koun. Graduated from Tokyo School of Fine Arts. Joined Shinshisha (New Poets Society) founded by Yosano Tekkan. His publications include his first poetry collection Dote (1914, The Journey) and Chieko-sho(1941, Chieko's sky).

  • with an autograph inscription on the reverse dated May 1951 (Showa 26): “Even after fifty-five years, the green grapes are still green. — Hikaru, for the Master of Nataan-an, Kikuoka.”
  • accompanied by two autograph postcards from Kotaro Takamura addressed to Hisatoshi Kikuoka.
  • illustrated in Kotaro Takamura (Chikuma Shobo, 1957).
  • formerly possessed by Kikuoka Kuri
