Biography	Ishizaki Yushi (1768-1846) was a painter born in Nagasaki. His childhood name was Keitaro, his courtesy name Shisai, and his art name Horei. He studied under his father, Araki Motoyoshi. He later studied Chinese-style painting (Kanga) and Western painting under his father’s teacher, Ishizaki Mototoku, and was adopted into the family, succeeding to the position of official appraiser of Chinese paintings (Kara-e mekiki). He traveled to Osaka and other regions, where he associated with figures such as Kimura Kenkado, Motoori Norinaga, and Tanomura Chikuden. He was also skilled in glass painting.
Description	color on paper with silk mounting 86 x 35 cm(artwork), 174 x 50 cm(overall) foxing/traces of bookworms on paper and foxing/bookwarm holes on mounting exhibited at "Toyo no Soju," Eikawa Museum in 1979 and comes with the exhibition catalog exhibited at “Nagasaki-style Nanga Exhibition,” Sano Art Museum in 1984 and comes with the exhibition catalog (with the sales tag) with double wooden storage box
