Artist Yasuda Denki
Title Records of the Three Kingdoms
Biography Yasuda Denki (1784–1827) was a painter born in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture. His surname was Yasuda and his given name was Ki. His courtesy name was Nissen, and he used Togaku and Daihoan as his art names. Originally a ronin from the Sendai Domain, Yasuda studied painting under Azuma Toyo, an official painter of the domain. After relocating to present-day Sukagawa in Fukushima Prefecture, he continued his training under Aodo Denzen. He later broadened his artistic foundations through further study with Tani Buncho and Hakuun.
